Montreal based club/rock music label Tremendous Records just signed Love & Electrik and the release of ‘Sex Video’ the duo’s first single which was out yesterday exclusively on beatport (if you like the track support them and buy the track).

This demo version of P.Y.T. is good enough to stand up to the released version. A completely different vibe but still amazing and funky. Nothing crazy edit wise, just made an intro and extended the outro, sometimes that’s all a track needs. Enjoy!

Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker is the name of several video games created by Sega in 1990 that incorporate the personage of and were co-developed by Michael Jackson. The arcade version and home versions differ in terms of gameplay, but the story and concept remain constant. The story, which is taken from the Moonwalker film, follows Michael, using various music and dance related abilities, on a quest to save kidnapped children from the hands of the evil “Mr. Big”. The games incorporated synthesized versions of the musician’s hits, such as “Beat It” and “Smooth Criminal”. The games have now achieved cult status and are remembered for being a memorable point in Jackson’s change to a different stage persona from Thriller, to Bad.

For this summer’s 25th anniversary of Prince’s classic movie and album Purple Rain, SPIN is excited to announce the release of Purplish Rain, a tribute album made up of nine tracks commissioned by the editors of SPIN.
Purplish Rain was produced to accompany the July cover story, an oral history of Purple Rain, for which contributing writer Brian Raftery spoke to most of the key people involved in the creation of the movie and album.
